Happy Columbus Day!  We hope you have a chance to get outside today and see the foliage.  It looks like this weekend will see the peak colors in the area.     We will be open our usual hours today so come on by!

Like an idiot I didn’t take any precautions for the last two frosts that hit the area over the last few days so the 2016 growing season is now over for me.  I am going to pick all the peppers that are on the plants as well as any stray tomatoes but the basil and other fragile plants are a bit blackened and shriveled. When will I learn that Mother Nature doesn’t take prisoners?
But enough about that, let’s move on to the real news – soup is back on the menu!  We had a sign up sheet at the front counter asking what soups you would like to see return and we have listened!  You will see all your favorites and more for the 2016 fall/ winter season!   Soup is good food – especially when it comes with a fresh baked Umpleby’s roll!
