The Super Bowl will be over in a matter of hours so it is important to focus on the next big thing – doughnuts on Mardi Gras.  To those fans of our yeast raised glazed or cinnamon covered tasty delights you know that this opportunity doesn’t come by that often.   Sure, you can be satisfied with the national chains’ version of doughnuts but if you really want the real deal I invite you to start your Fat Tuesday morning off properly with an Umpleby’s doughnut.   As a bakery cafe we are in the quality of life business.   Enjoy one of our doughnuts, have a coffee and then go vote in the NH primary for the candidate who I hope is also focused with the quality of life business – YOUR quality of life.

You know how I mentioned the other day that you can order rolls from us for the Super Bowl for your sliders or such?  Let me tell you a short story about how good our rolls are……  I received a phone call from a customer today asking if we could ship her our rolls for her daughter’s wedding this late spring.   She had them 2 years ago for a graduation party that we catered for her other daughter and they left such strong impression on her – she thought they were so good that she wants them for the wedding.    And she lives in North Carolina.

So do yourself a favor. Even if the game is a total blow out, (which I think it will be) order some Umpleby’s rolls and you won’t feel that you’ve wasted your time with the NFL!

And that is not even mentioning the meat pies and sausage rolls…….      which I just did.

Even though the Giants aren’t in the Super Bowl this year that is no reason (well, maybe it is) to not enjoy some tasty food during the game.

Some suggestions:

Do what the Aussies do during the Grand Final – eat meat pies and lots of them. We have it covered along with pork or chicken sausage rolls. Perfect hand food for the game and they make excellent vehicles for soaking up fermented beverages!

Sandwiches – we make and sell a zillion of these for a reason – they are really good and tasty – get a platter and be the hero at the party.

Rolls – make your own concoctions but start with an excellent foundation – an Umpleby’s lighter than air tastier than manna roll.

Baguettes – make your own super bowl subs with these beauties. Pre – order so you won’t be disappointed if we sell out.

Sourdough bread – another killer foundation for your do it yourself sandwiches – once again pre- order for success.

Buy more than you need so you can have leftovers for the New Hampshire primaries on the 9th. Don’t forget to vote!!!!!!
