I don’t usually do this, in fact I have never done this but there is always a first time. Here is a New Yorker cartoon that my wife showed me that she thought was particularly funny. I have to agree. My beloved and I lived in Brooklyn for a year or so before heading up here to the Upper Valley of Vermont ( I had been living in NYC for about 9 years before I met my beloved). So, as apartment dwellers we can appreciate this – plus of course it has to do with food which is why I am posting it!

I planted onion seeds yesterday and have the good fortune that my friend Ray at Back Beyond Farm said he would look after them in his greenhouse. Pepper and tomato seeds are going to be planted tomorrow. This is of course under the assumption that spring and warmer weather will in fact come to the Upper Valley! Looking at the upcoming weather report it will warm up a bit but there are still overnight lows in the single digits forecasted ahead. Oh Spring, Where Art Thou?
