Umpleby's Bakery & Café

The Sandwich Special today is the Horse and Bayonet.  It is a cold (war) sandwich:

Roast Beef, Not-so sharp as a bayonet cheddar, Horseradish Mayo,  “aggressive” onion slices and lettuce.

We are also offering for lunch a chicken – chili and butternut squash soup.  Both are so thick you could cut them with a ……… yup… a bayonet.  (sorry, couldn’t resist!)

The Norwich Farmers Market on the green is sadly drawing to a close but the silver lining to this grey cloud is that now I’ll have time to make doughnuts!

And we are gearing up for the Fall / Halloween Season.  We have binders full of great recipes and ideas for this fun time of year.  Keep a lookout in our pastry cases for spooky desserts and scary delicious treats!
