Umpleby's Bakery & Café

Sadly a lot of our terrific staff are returning to school now that the summer is coming to an end.  As a result, we are looking for people interested in working out front in the cafe and working back in the kitchen as a baker’s helper or lunch cook.  If interested please download our application and call or come by  an interview!

I have finally updated our dessert/ pie menu for the summer season.  You can download it under our menu downloads page.  I have also added a breakfast pastry menu to download.   I’m glad it has cooled down a bit outside!

I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan of summer.   I think part of of the reason for that is due to the fact that when I am working on the bench I am standing in front of 2 475  – 500 degree deck ovens that I bake the bread in.   I would prefer to do that when the thermometer reads 60 – 70 rather than 80 -90.  But please don’t let that stop you from stopping by and getting something from the cafe.  Because the ovens are in the bakehouse, not the cafe!
