Happy Purim!  We have apricot and raspberry filled hamantaschen today in the cookie case today.  Sorry we don’t have poppy seed filling.

The Upper Valley Business Alliance, the Hanover Parks and Recreation Dept. and the Town of Hanover are sponsoring a sweet treats weekend and all the huts in Hanover will be open selling your favorite treats!  Our  hut is  located  just  in  front  of  the  cafe!

We’ll have the cases filled this weekend with all sorts of Valentine’s Day goodies.  Here is a list of what we’ll have:

On the cookie side –

• chocolate crinkle
• chocolate chip cookies
• chocolate dipped  heart shaped shortbreads
• heart shaped sugar cookies

On the dessert side:

• chocolate souffle cakes
• passionfruit curd tarts with raspberries
• chocolate caramel tarts
• chocolate truffles
• chocolate dipped strawberries

I was living in NYC in 1989 when Keith Haring was widely known in the city so I thought it appropriate to honor his art this valentine’s day as it what was what I grew up with during my salad days in the city.  I really miss those days!
