Day 15  The Chocolate Kiss Thumbprint

Day 15  The Chocolate Kiss Thumbprint   Here is a variation on the classic peanut butter blossom.  The thumbprint part is vanilla instead of peanut butter so nut allergies are not an issue.  The first time I made these cookies I put the kiss on the thumbprint and then baked them off instead waiting until the cookie came out and was still warm.  That was wrong!  As my son would say, “I got wrecked”.

Help Wanted!!

Where has the time gone?   I haven’t posted in a while despite all the things that have been going on here at the bakery cafe.

Soup has returned, the beef pastie has returned, ice coffee has bid adieu, Autumn is sort of here, it is apple and pumpkin pie time, Thanksgiving is coming soon, Compton is in the house and so on.

But I’ll cut to the chase – we are looking to fill the following positions:

front of house  –  days!  full time / part time

line cook / sandwich maker  – part time / full time

assistant baker –  part time / full time

If you are interested please fill out an on line application and send it in via email or drop by and ask for Charles.  I would be happy to meet you and talk about the job.
