Umpleby's Bakery & Café

This Saturday marks the end of the 2016 outdoor season of the Norwich Farmers’ Market.  We’ll be there, albeit maybe a little soggy as the weather forecast doesn’t look too promising.  But we hope a few raindrops won’t stop you from dropping by!   Hope to see you there!

I have another fun bit to share:

Former President Bill Clinton was in town last Monday to campaign for his wife and gave a speech at The Hop.   What does this have to do with food?  This is the fun bit –  I have it from a good source that when Bill’s  assistants asked where was a place to go to get a sandwich for him they were told, wait for it….   Umpleby’s.    Curiosity got the better of me and I asked my source if they knew what sandwich he got.  The source is pretty sure it was the Bertie Wooster.  And it is also my understanding that he enjoyed it!

After a bit of a hiatus the bulletin board is back in the vestibule!    We took the original down to paint the walls and I just haven’t gotten around to putting the new one back up until today.  Sorry for the delay!
