We will be closed this Wednesday, July 8 to Sunday, July 12th so we can get the floors in the cafe re-finished.  The floor has taken quite a beating over the years from the happy feet of our wonderful customers so we decided it was time to treat the floor with some love.

We will re-open on Monday, July 13th!!

Just saw an article in the Times about the idea of putting peas in guacamole.  I was so shocked by the proposition that I had to write here on the website.   I know I’m a white guy born in Ohio and now lives in the Northeast, about the furthest one can get from the places where avocados are grown, but I DO KNOW that putting peas in guacamole is simply ridiculous. Peas have no business whatsoever being in guac. I don’t care what Sam Sifton thinks.  This will probably be the only thing EVER that President Obama, Jeb and I agree on.    The next thing you’re going to tell me is it is okay make a martini with vodka!
